Our engineers provide professional recommendation for hopper and silo
weighing and help our customers to integrate weighing capability into
their system. New applications and modification for existing systems can
be done with appropriate design and planning. We can help by
participating in the early stage of system design, recommend structure
modification and the components used, system installation and

Loadcell / sensors
When properly installed and commissioned, a vessel can be weighed by
integrating loadcells system into it. The application will determine
the choice of loadcells being used. When choosing loadcells, we will
consider different criteria, for example, vessel capacity, structure of the
vessel, eccentric loading, thermal expansion, pipe connection,
twisting action from mixing, the material characteristic, site
environment and protection requirements.

Highlights:

Excellent for vessel with mixing action and high accuracy
applications. The unique design of the system put the loadcell in a
pendulum like arrangement. The loading assemblies will transfer the
compression load into a tension manner to the loadcell, giving the
vessel a smooth floating feel. The self damping and centering
characteristic of the loading mechanism provides a great zero
position retaining ability and is ideal in vibrating applications.

LeverMount

Highlights:

Stainless steel loadcell element.

Patented loadcell and mount. Unique and secure load cell
installation/ removal without jacks. During installation or
maintenance, the user can install only the loading
assemblies without the loadcells under the vessel . The loadcells can then be inserted into
the loading assemblies when ready. By tightening the two bolts at
the end of the loadcell, the system acts in a pivot way and raise
the loading point upwards and smoothly apply the load onto the
loadcell, all being done without the help of a jack. The loadcells
can also be removed easily in similar but reversed manner.

MasterMount

Highlights:

Capacity from 2,000 kg to 20,000 kg.

Matched with double ended shear beam shear loadcells. Stainless
steel loadcell element.

Unique load cell installation/ removal without jacking by using the built
in cam mechanism. The loading assemblies has a specially designed
eccentric shaft. During installation or maintenance, user can easily
remove or insert the loadcell from/ into the loading assemblies by
rotating this lifting shaft and lift up the load. The user can then
adjust the four bolts in the corners of the loading assemblies to
secure* the structure and the loadcell is ready to be removed or
inserted. The process can be easily done without the help of a jack.
The loadcell is secured in the loading assemblies by two round pins,
which can also be easily inserted/removed without the help of any
tools. *Note: additional security is recommended if the system
will stay idle without the loadcells for a prolonged period.

Instrumentation
When come to choosing the electronic instruments for process
weighing, the functions, level of automation and protection level
are what we are going to look at.
AND AD4531A
Highlights:
The AD4531A has a very compact form
factor with simple two HI and Lo set-point outputs. It is typically used
for monitoring the material level of a storage hopper and provides
alarms for HI/LO material levels. A typical use of the outputs is to
initialize and stopping a refilling process.
Note: The peak holding function also
make this indicator used for low-end testing applications (tension or
compression test machines). However, for more demanding tests, we
recommend AD4532A which has a much higher sampling rate (2000
sample/sec).

AND AD4401
Highlights:
This is a very popular choice of
indicator for single ingredient batching or proportioning process. Its
built in process weighing procedure provides complete single ingredient
weighing from two speed feeder control, free fall correction, to
discharge of material. This keep PLC programming to minimal and, in
simpler applications, completely avoid the need of a PLC. It also vastly
reduces the cost and time for system development. The indicator provides
'Gain in weight' and 'Lose in weight' procedures for different needs.
User can enter the target weight via the front panel, an external
thumbwheels or even through the serial interface (optional RS-232 or
RS-485). The process can then be started by triggering a switch and the
system will run complete the whole process.

AND AD4402

Highlights:
The AD4402 specializes in multi-ingredients process weighing. A single
vessel is monitored and provides a very comprehensive procedure for
weighing multiple ingredients. User can create, edit and use recipes for
up to 99 different products. Each recipe will contains all the information required for
actual production, for example, which ingredients to use, the target weight
requirement for each ingredient, feeder controls and tolerance check of
the final weight. Connectivity of the indicator is also top notch, from
the basic RS-232 or RS-485 interface to different industrial standards
like CC-Link, Device Net and Profibus (separate options required).
Maximum number of ingredients per recipe is 10. Maximum number of
ingredient for feeder control purpose is 20.

RiceLake 920i

Highlights:
The 920i is one of the most powerful standalone indicator for process
weighing. The whole process flow are completely programmable to suit
each customer's applications needs. Up to 10 different screens can be
programmed to change with the process, and graphic icons and messages
show set-point and function status. The multi-channel display feature
shows the weight on an individual scale or a combination of totalized
scales. When used in batching/mixing applications, one 920i is capable
of handling multiple scale, flow temperature and pulse. It can control
hundreds of I/O set-points, queuing such things as gates and conveyors.
And, it has complete database capability for data storage. The system
can also have a PS/2 keyboard directly connected to it and
